Diesel generator sets will inevitably have some minor problems in the daily use process. How to quickly and accurately determine the problem, and solve the problem in the first time, reduce the loss in the application process, and better maintain the diesel generator set?
1. Firstly determine where the sound comes from, such as from inside the valve chamber, inside the body, at the front cover, at the junction between the generator and the diesel engine, or inside the cylinder. After determining the position, judge according to the working principle of the diesel engine.
2. When there is an abnormal noise inside the engine body, gen-set should be shut down quickly. After cooling down, open the side cover of the diesel engine body and push the middle position of the connecting rod by hand. If the sound is on the upper part of the connecting rod, it can be judged that it is the piston and connecting rod. The copper sleeve is malfunctioning. If the noise is found in the lower part of the connecting rod during shaking, it can be judged that the gap between the connecting rod bush and the journal is too large or the crankshaft itself is faulty.
3. When abnormal noise is heard in the upper part of the body or inside the valve chamber, it can be considered that the valve clearance is improperly adjusted, the valve spring is broken, the rocker arm seat is loose or the valve push rod is not placed in the center of the tappet, etc.
4. When it is heard at the front cover of the diesel engine, it can generally be considered that various gears are too large, the gear tightening nut is loose, or some gears have broken teeth.
5. When it is at the junction of the diesel engine and the generator, it can be considered that the internal interface rubber ring of the diesel engine and the generator is faulty.
6. When you hear the sound of rotation inside the generator after the diesel engine stops, it can be considered that the internal bearings or individual pins of the generator are loose.
